The Berlin Central Staion is just a few minutes' walk from us. The reception team will be happy to help you find suitable connections.

The Berlin City Mission, your host, works as an independent organization of the Protestant Church in a diaconal and missionary capacity in Berlin and Brandenburg. Other guesthouses in Brandenburg and on the Baltic Sea also belong to the Berlin City Mission. Get to know the work of the Berlin City Mission on a guided tour of the premises. Would you like to browse through the Bible again for a good start to the day or to go to bed? Then you will find inspiration here . You can find a real Bible in book form to borrow in our lobby. Please feel free to contact us.

You are welcome to lock your bike in our bike room. You can get the key for this at reception. Bicycles are not permitted inside the martas buildings for fire safety reasons. E-bike bags for safe storage are available at our reception for a rental fee of € 20.00. For minor work on your bike, you are welcome to use our bike repair station directly in front of the building free of charge. More specific tools are available at our reception.

Due to child and youth protection, cycling is prohibited on the entire premises. We can recommend this bike rental service.

The billiard lounge is located on the first floor of martas guesthouses. The equipment is available at reception for a deposit of €10.00. There is also the Bata Billards billiard parlor in the immediate vicinity.

Browse through the bookshop "Café Blattgold" (Tuesday to Thursday 12:30 to 16:30) on our premises (entrance Lehrter Straße 68) or swap the book you have read for another one on the bookshelf in our lounge on the first floor.

Our breakfast buffet is open Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 09:30 and at weekends and on public holidays from 07:00 to 10:00. We offer packed lunches for meals out.

Brooms, dustpans, empties bins and waste separation facilities can be found in the guest service rooms on the first floor and floor 2 of House 1 and on all floors of House 2. The rooms are located next to the elevators.

On weekdays from 11:45 to 13:45, our cafeteria serves a selection of delicious dishes (also vegan and vegetarian) for lunch. You will find the menu in the elevators.

If you need assistance with the organization of medical aids, such as a care bed, wheelchair, etc., we will be happy to help you. Care beds can be accommodated in our barrier-free rooms by prior arrangement.

An ATM is located in our lobby.

Your room will be available from 15:00 on the day of arrival. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us.

Your room is available to you until 10:00 am on the day of departure.

Berlin's tap water is of high quality and can be drunk without hesitation. A water dispenser for filling your water bottle free of charge is located in the basement of House 1. You can find more free water sources here. At our kiosk you can purchase our martas drinking bottles for this very purpose, also as a gift to take home for your loved ones.

A selection of different drinks and snacks is available from the kiosk at reception.

In every large city, poverty, neediness and homelessness are particularly evident at Berlin Main Station. The motto is often: look away and keep walking. Our martas guesthouses are located directly on the extensive grounds of the Berlin City Mission. The family lounge is located on the first floor of martas guesthouses. Furnished with a sofa, games and books, you and your children can find time to relax. It is equipped with a kettle, microwave and fridge and can be used at any time.

We ask you to be considerate of each other. Drugs (including cannabis) are not permitted on the entire site for reasons of child and youth protection. Please respect the quiet hours from 22:00 to 06:00.

Delicious, sustainably produced ice creams (also lactose-free and vegan) from Floridaeis are available at reception.

An iron can be borrowed from reception for a deposit of €10.00. You will find an ironing board on the first floor in the washing machine room.

Your key card can be used to open the entrance doors to the main building and House 2. If you lose your key card, please contact our reception team immediately.

Various drinks, snacks, cakes and ice cream are available at our 24-hour reception. You can also purchase souvenirs and postcards.

You can wash your laundry conveniently in our launderette to the left of the elevator on the first floor of the main building. The dryer is also located there. A wash and dry cycle costs a total of €5.00.

Lockers are located in the lobby. During your stay you can use your own lock or purchase a lock at reception for €3.50.

You have the possibility to store your luggage with us before check-in, on the day of departure depending on space capacity and prior arrangement until 20:00. Please contact reception for this. There are also lockers at the main station in parking garage area C, on levels 1, 2 and 3.

Martas is the joint brand of the guesthouses, hotels and conference center of the Berlin City Mission. Several hotels in Berlin, Brandenburg and on the Baltic Sea now operate under this name. The name martas is inspired by the biblical figure Marta, who is known in the New Testament for her hospitality. This is exactly what characterizes our work: welcoming guests, enabling them to have a good stay and creating spaces for encounters, education and recreation.

Every overnight stay directly supports the diverse work of the Berlin City Mission and other local partners. We are convinced that the best of the city can only be created if everyone is included. In our hotels, €1 per overnight stay is donated to the Berlin City Mission and other local projects. In the guesthouses, €1 per guest is donated to the work of the Berlin City Mission.

You can obtain plasters or bandages for minor injuries from reception. Our staff are not permitted to give you medication, e.g. headache tablets. You may cool medication in the fridge at reception if necessary.

In urgent cases, please contact the medical on-call service (116117) or call the emergency number 112.

You can borrow a multiple socket at reception for a deposit of €10.00.

We ask you to observe the night's rest from 22:00 to 06:00 in the house and from 22:00 on the grounds and our terrace.

For reasons of child and youth protection, we are a non-smoking guesthouse. This also applies to all balconies. Smoking is only permitted in the following places: Smoking pavilion on the lawn in front of the main house, as well as at the exits of both houses at the respective floor ashtrays.

A bite to eat on the go? You are welcome to order a packed lunch from reception at least one evening before.

Depending on availability, parking is available directly in front of the guesthouse (for a fee) and in the side streets (for a fee). Alternatively, we are happy to recommend this parking garage.

Parking spaces for coaches
Groups arriving by coach can park in front of our hotel for the duration of check-in and check-out. (max. 2 buses at the same time). For longer parking please contact our reception.

The nearest pharmacy is located in the main station, 1st floor. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 07:00 to 21:00.

A city tour gives you a comprehensive overview of the most important sights in Berlin. Whether by rickshaw, bus or boat, everything is possible.

The Lehrter Shop at Lehrter Str. 1, 10557 Berlin offers various postal services. We are also happy to accept your letters and postcards for posting at reception. In addition to the stamps that you can obtain from us, it is also possible to frank your letters here with an app and pen.

A selection of free and purchasable postcards is available at reception.

If you would like to print something, we will be happy to do this for you at reception for €0.10 per page. Please send us the document by e-mail to: hbf-berlin[at]martas.org.

In order to continuously improve our quality, we ask you to take a few minutes to rate us online. Our guesthouse has also been certified by the Bundesforum Kinder- und Jugendreisen e.V. as part of the "Quality Management Children and Youth Travel" testing system and has achieved the maximum number of five possible stars.

Our reception is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you stay longer than four nights, your room will be cleaned on an interim basis. You can obtain more information about interim cleaning from reception. Cleaning equipment such as brooms and dustpans can be found in the guest service rooms. You can also dispose of your garbage there.

All beds in our house are already made up with bed linen. We also provide towels. Exception: if you book a bed in a dormitory, these are not included. You are welcome to borrow additional towels from our reception for a small fee: 1 small towel €1.50 | 1 large shower towel €2.00. Other amenities such as soap or a hairdryer are also available there.

You can leave small valuables in our safebags in the hotel safe at reception.
